Stuck on the Lunch Ferris Wheel

Number one I love roller coasters, I hate Ferris wheels, they have no seat belts and I am tall, it seems like you could just flip out of the thing. I know there are millions of people who love Ferris wheels, I am just not one of them. Number two I love breakfast and I enjoy dinner, but I am not that wild about lunch. I find lunch to be an interruption in my day. If you have leftovers for lunch, then you have the same meal twice in one day, frozen meals never seem to be filling and that leaves sandwiches and salad. I tend to gravitate towards hot food. Plus processed foods like frozen foods tend to be high in sodium and eating healthy with high blood pressure seems counterproductive.

So what do I do about lunch, well as a foodie, I must enjoy whatever I am going to eat for lunch and it needs to be filling, so I am not just going to eat anything. Usually a baked potato is good for me and is always filling. I also like a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and sautéed onions and garlic. My greatest go to is meatless buffalo chicken wings, dip them in some mayo and ketchup and I am good to go. Honestly sometimes I miss lunch, I have a late breakfast and get busy during the day and then its time to cook dinner.

Maybe there is a meal you are not wild about, I know a lot of people skip breakfast. It’s not the worst thing in the world to miss a meal once in a while. But think about what food excites you for the meal you hate and try having that food during that meal. There are no food police so if you want meatless chicken for breakfast then go ahead. I sometimes have smoothies for breakfast, I make them nutritional and they can be filling. Consider what you enjoy and incorporate that into you least favorite meal and get off the Ferris wheel!
